Hello! I'm Simona, a multidisciplinary artist from Romania working in interior decoration, jewelry, wearable art, and creative design. Creativity has always been at the center of my life, and I love beautiful spaces, nature, culture, and meaningful conversations. This summer, my son Rafael and I are relocating to Cascais, Portugal, a place we have fallen in love with for its ocean, relaxed atmosphere, and connection to nature. Rafael is 8 years old (turning 9 this year), curious, kind, respectful, and very mature for his age. He speaks English well and loves meeting new people, discovering new places, and, most of all, spending time with animals. We are calm, tidy, easy-going people who enjoy simple pleasures: walking by the sea, exploring local neighborhoods, creating art, reading, visiting markets and cafés, and enjoying peaceful moments in nature. Animals have always been part of our lives. I cared for a beloved family dog for 17 years and have also lived with cats, so we are very comfortable around pets. I have spent nearly 20 years living in rented homes and have always treated every place with respect and care, as if it were my own. Friends often describe me as creative, reliable, warm, and attentive to details. Through Couchsurfing, I hope to connect with open-minded people, learn more about local life and culture, and create genuine human connections.
