Hey, I'm Rosie! A London-based music obsessive, film lover and enthusiastic wanderer who occasionally finds herself in situations that would be difficult to explain to her mum. One of my favourite travel memories is getting lost cycling through a remote village in Burkina Faso with a friend. We stumbled across a community having a ceremony and somehow ended up spending the entire evening drinking and playing music with everyone. No itinerary, no plan, just one of those magical evenings you couldn't organise if you tried. I'm heading to Utrecht to volunteer at Le Guess Who? this November, and I'm hoping to meet some lovely people and experience the city beyond the usual tourist spots. I think the best parts of travelling often happen when you leave a little room for the unexpected. If you have music recommendations, obscure film suggestions or stories about your own adventures, we're probably going to get along. And if you introduce me to something new, there's a good chance I'll spend the next three weeks obsessing over it.

I'm spontanious, open for everything i aswell like to be very calm in times, just relaxing and enjoying a nice moment i like to be very respectful towards others and the environment, i'm pretty modest, don't need a lot more than just friendly people in order to feel good, so i'm almost always in a good mood =) i really like to travel and see different places - there's so much more to discover, but I'mma catch up on everything =) Interests music (I'm playing guitar, piano, bass, percussions, sing a lot,..), jam sessions with friends any kind of sports, board games, adventures (like climbing in the wild), arts & culture, ..in the end almost everything you can enjoy your time while getting in contact with people. i like summernights with barbecue and friends at the lake, beaches, the sea, beautiful landscapes, i like meeting new and interesting people and getting to know lots of new stuff One Amazing Thing I've Done the greatest moment is hard to determine, cause there are some that are just so very different.. the greatest might be when i was climbing in the alps, and we reached the summit, above the clouds, and in the distance you could see the peaks of other mountains, looking through this white sea of clouds, and no one was able to speak on single word because it was just to adorable and breathtaking.. it might be when i initiatet and organized an evening of musical cabarett, all my friends and family and may more came to see us performing, and we had just endless fun and the crowd couldn't stop laughing, it might be when i spend the last day of summer with a bunch of friends i wouldn't see again for long time, and we sat together the whole day at the lakes border and were enjoying the sun and having great talks,

I’m a pretty easygoing and independent person who enjoys travelling, being outdoors, meeting new people and experiencing places beyond the usual tourist side of things. I’ve spent the last few years working in different hands-on jobs, including maintenance with Ontario Parks. I’m used to physical work, working with tools, cleaning and maintaining facilities, fixing things and figuring problems out as they come up. I also enjoy working on cars and electronics in my spare time, so I’ve always been someone who likes learning by actually doing things. Travelling has become a big part of my life. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit places like Italy, Portugal, Spain, Puerto Rico, Jamaica and the United States, and some of my favourite experiences have come from simply exploring somewhere new and getting to know the people and culture. I’m comfortable doing my own thing, but I also enjoy being part of a good group and helping out wherever I’m needed. I’m not afraid of getting my hands dirty, I pick up new things pretty quickly, and I try to approach new experiences with an open mind. At this point in my life I’m looking to travel more, meet interesting people, learn some new skills and hopefully contribute something useful along the way.
